CorasWorks Webcast – Cool Topics Series

Corasworks is a SharePoint partner that builds solutions for SharePoint.  They supply an application layer on top of SharePoint that can be very useful for enterprises that are looking for this type of application architecture to design, build, and manage solutions on SharePoint.

Corasworks is holding a webcast next week where they will be introducing some integration techniques with Corasworks and SharePoint data lists, with Bing Maps, and display mechanisms for Business Intelligence that also can integrate non-SharePoint data.

If you’d like to join CorasWorks, hit the link and register.

SharePoint Conference Site Design Winner!

The SharePoint Conference 2009 has announced it’s first award winner!

Robert Chrestensen, of Salient6, has submitted the winning design for the SharePoint Conference design competition.

I like Robert’s idea (at least the one that my feeble mind is able to identify) that SharePoint is going through a re-design from the original blue teamsite template to a graphical interface.  This can apply in a lot of ways!

Congratulations, Robert!

The MatterSpace® ELM Road Show

MatterSpace has an e-Discovery product that they’ve built on top of SharePoint Server.  I’d recommend registering for this roadshow – even if it’s just to learn about e-Discovery approaches to SharePoint.  Perhaps this product will fill a need within your organization.

Brightwork and Partner Opportunities

I received this invitation in the email this morning.  I would like to attend, but I’ll be in an airplane at this time.  Perhaps it will be recorded?  I’m registered, but I’ll be one of those no-shows, unfortunately.

The thing that intrigues me about this is that I’m seeing more activity around SharePoint ISV partners who are developing their own partner programs to aid in deployment and configuration, etc.

I think it’s great, and I wish Brightwork, and all the other SharePoint ISVs, great success in this arena.    (And, when you figure it out – let me know how to do it right! 🙂 )
